MARY, JAMAICA — August 10, 2026 — Pastor Danielo Daniels was re-elected president of the North East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists on Monday, August 10, securing a third term during the conference’s fourth Quadrennial Session at Camp Don in Robins Bay, St. Mary.
Daniels, who was recommended for another four-year term by the session’s nominating committee, received 113 votes in favour and 18 against, representing 86.2 per cent of the votes cast.
Following the vote, Pastor Glen Samuels congratulated Daniels on his re-election and encouraged him to remain grounded in God as he takes on the responsibility of leading the conference for another four years.
Samuels urged Daniels to remain prayerful and to continue depending on the God who had guided him throughout his ministry and leadership.

Addressing delegates after accepting the election, Daniels thanked them for what he described as their “vote of confidence” and acknowledged the weight of continuing to lead the conference.
“The responsibility is not lost on me, how sacred this calling is and how sacred this moment is,” Daniels said. “I’ve never sought an office in the church, and I do not stand here because of any strength or wisdom of my own.”
Daniels said his acceptance of another term was rooted in his faith and commitment to the mission of the Church.
Looking ahead to the next four years, Daniels called on members of the conference to remain focused on the Church’s mission of making disciples.
“The work before us, delegates, members of the North East Jamaica Conference, the work is great, but it is not new,” Daniels said. “It’s the same commission our Lord has given some 2,000 years ago—to go, to teach, to baptize and to make disciples.”
He also emphasized a collective approach to the work of the conference.
“In the days ahead, I want us to look at the mission which God has called us to do, and let’s do this together,” Daniels said. “Together, let’s finish the work which the Lord has given to us.”

Administrators from sister conferences and institutions also extended congratulations to Daniels following his re-election, offering their support as he begins another four-year term.
Daniels has more than a decade of experience in church leadership and ministry. Before becoming president of the North East Jamaica Conference, he served in several capacities within the Seventh-day Adventist Church, including as a district pastor and executive secretary.
His re-election marked the first personnel decision of the fourth Quadrennial Session, as delegates began the process of electing officers to lead the North East Jamaica Conference during the next administrative term.
